C.T. carrying the Johnny Bananas backpack is the greatest highlight ever recorded in Challenge history.

Before the backpack moment, we hadn’t seen C.T. in three years. He was rumored to be forever banned after almost killing Adam King on the Duel II. On Cutthroat, when T.J. announced the heavy hitters twist and C.T. came walking out the dark, challenge fans all around the world were not prepared for what they were about to witness. C.T. was finally let out of his cage and Johnny Bananas became absolute prey.

If there were ever to be a logo for the Challenge, a visual image of the C.T.-Bananas backpack moment would be it. Picture this: Replace the Jerry West silhouette in the red and blue NBA logo with a white silhouette of C.T. mid power-walk and Bananas in the back of him imitating a backpack. Then, replace “NBA” with “MTV”. Now, you got your MTV Challenge logo. C.T. being at the front and center of a hypothetical challenge sports logo makes perfect sense considering C.T.’s athletic performances changed the landscape of the Challenge from a regular game show to the series becoming known as America’s Fifth Sport.

C.T. is the Peyton Manning of the Challenge.

Peyton Manning is the greatest regular-season quarterback in the history of the NFL. C.T. is the greatest regular-season competitor in the history of the Challenge.

Peyton Manning only has two Superbowls (and won his second one in his final season in the NFL, while being a shell of his former self). C.T. has three championships (and won his final one while being in his worst physical shape ever).

Both, Peyton Manning and C.T.’s regular-season career numbers lead you to believe that they should have had twice as much championships than what they currently have. However, their own blunders (C.T.’s boneheaded mistakes and gassing out right before the finish line on the Exes 2 final = Peyton’s choking) throughout their careers hold them back from reaching extreme success in the post-season.

To continue this comparison, Johnny Bananas is Tom Brady (6 championships). C.T. is the more natural athlete and talented challenger between him and Bananas, but Bananas has had the better legacy (Peyton’s the more talented QB between him and Brady, but Brady accomplished a greater legacy).

C.T. has seven of the greatest regular season competitive performances that didn’t result in championships.

The Inferno: In C.T.’s rookie debut, the higher end competition consisted of Abram, Darrell, Mike Mizanin, Shane and Timmy. C.T. won 4 life shields. C.T. led all the males in life shields and actually won more life shields than the higher end competition as one whole collective (Darrell, Mike Mizanin, and Timmy each won one life shield, totaling up to 3). C.T. was the best performer of the season as a rookie. He made the final challenge, but his Real World team lost to Road Rules in a close race.

Inferno II: C.T. was the life shield king. He racked up 6 life shields this season in one of the most competitive male casts to ever be assembled in Challenge history. C.T. led the season in life shields again, Landon came in 2nd with four, Mike in 3rd with three, and Derrick came in 4th with two. C.T. made the final, but he and the final remaining Bad Asses got blown out the water in a triathlon.

The Duel: C.T. won three missions and landed in the top 2 seven times. In C.T.’s third season, he was the second best competitor behind Evan, who won six missions (but half of them were due to having the superior partner in Jodi in comparison to C.T. having Diem). Despite being a top 2 performer, C.T. got disqualified against Brad in the final male duel and didn’t make it into the post-season.

Gauntlet III: C.T. was co-captain of one of the most dominant regular season teams ever, the G3 Veterans. C.T. was either the best or second best athlete on the team (along with Evan, the other team captain). C.T.’s performance in Piñata Pit (which I delve into later) proved what a freak of nature of a competitor C.T. was.

Rivals: C.T. managed to win two missions and landed in the top three overall six times with an average partner (Adam). Rivals C.T. was the scariest. The whole season was based around J.E.K. and friends trying to take him out, because he was such a force to be reckoned with. C.T. lost right before the final because of Adam’s performance in the T-Bone elimination.

Exes: C.T. and Diem won two out of eight missions, only second to Bananas and Camila’s three. C.T. and Diem made the final, but got second place. C.T. and Diem had the lead the whole final, but C.T. collapsed moments before the finish line.

Dirty Thirty: C.T. was competing in his 11th season and still putting up the best scoring numbers in one of the toughest male casts ever assembled. C.T. won 6 missions. That’s the most out of all males on Dirty Thirty (Not a single other player won 5, Hunter won 4, Nelson and Leroy won 3, and the rest have 2 or less). C.T. made the final on D30, but got third place because his gas tank can’t keep up with the other two finalists.

C.T.’s ATG Physical Strength, Aggression, and Athleticism is the most lethal combination in Challenge history.

If the Challenge were to ever have a Madden-esque video game, C.T.’s player rating regarding his athleticism and strength would look something like: STR: 99. SPE: 99. AGI: 99. A prime C.T. was a cheat code. The Bananas Backpack moment attests to this. Below are some other missions and eliminations where C.T.’s strength and athleticism proved to us he was of a different breed.

In Piñata Pit (G3), players from both teams had to jump in a mud pit, retrieve a ball, and return it to the starting line. The mission was played in rounds. Each round, there were fewer balls than there were players. Players were getting eliminated round-by-round. The game of Piñata Pit came down to the two best players on each team, Veteran C.T. and Rookie Derek McCray. You’re probably reading this wondering who Derek McCray is. I don’t blame you. Let me give you some background information on him. The moment Derek M. first stepped into the Challenge, he was immediately viewed as a competition threat, even with no performance log to back for it. Derek M. came into the Gauntlet 3 with instant respect, based off the fact that he had been recruited by more than 200 colleges for his football talent. Considering Piñata Pit contained all the aspects of a game of football: running, tackling, stripping a ball away from an opponent, and taking it to the end zone, the average betting man would’ve bet on Derek to score and win it for the Rookies. Challenge fans, however, knew to bet differently. When the final round went underway, Derek reached the ball first, but C.T. was inches behind Derek as he gained possession of the ball. C.T. then proceeded to slam him to the ground effortlessly and Derek literally yelped as he was getting manhandled. C.T, with what looks like half an effort, popped the ball out of Derek’s arms and took it back to the end zone to win it for the Veterans. In Piñata Pit, C.T. basically took the manhood out of a Division 1 athlete.

In the T-Bone elimination (Rivals), C.T.’s “Choo! Choo!” train almost killed Johnny and Tyler. It’s the biggest near death experience in Challenge history. I have a theory: We haven’t seen C.T. in a physical combat elimination ever since for good reason. I’m positive that’s a calculated decision by the Challenge Gods, not one that’s left up to chance.

C.T. faced off against Leroy in Wrecking Wall (FA), an elimination where both players had to punch through a 30-foot dry wall to make holes to climb up until they were able to reach the bell at the top. First player to ring the bell won. Leroy is an elimination beast; he’s won 8 career eliminations because of his physical strength and athleticism alone. He was no match for C.T. though. Anyone who watched the Duel 2, knows C.T.’s punching power is nothing to be played with. His punching power knocked out a whole wall on that season.

In the Flying Leap mission (Duel), players, one at a time, had to jump back and forth from one end of a platform to another that was suspended from a crane 20 feet above water. Numerous flags were hanging from poles located on both sides of the platform. Players had to grab as many flags as possible within a three-minute time limit; Whoever collected the most flags won. C.T. won Flying Leap with flying colors. He was the only male to not land on his body when jumping or not use any running momentum to assist his jumping sequences. C.T. instead showed us his athletic prowess, by setting his feet, loading his hips, exploding and jumping across, landing on his feet every time. Everyone on the sidelines watched in awe. C.T. made it look like a walk in the park.

C.T.’s All-Time Great Intelligence.

C.T. is the perfect two-way player. He not only has the brawn, but he has the brain as well. His long history of solving puzzles makes him an ATG intelligent male player. Below are some of C.T.’s greatest moments in which he had to put his brain to work.

C.T. eliminated Evan in Ascender (Duel), an elimination game in which players had to climb up a rope, pull a handle at the top of the rope, to release a basket containing puzzle pieces. The players then had to climb back down the rope to assemble a tiling puzzle similar to a tangram. C.T versus Evan was the second last male elimination on the original Duel. Up to that point, Evan was the clear #1 best competitor of the season and C.T. was the second. The two best players were going mano a mano. Evan got raddled under the stage lights (got caught trying to cheat), and the brain of the cold blooded killer, C.T. solved the tangram with ease.

In the Rivals 2 final, C.T. completed the puzzle checkpoint in a flash that Johnny/Frank fell behind in. Upon seeing the puzzle, C.T. straightaway figured it out because the puzzle was one that he played when he was hungover at a breakfast country club.

In the Final Redemption Challenge on D30, players had to read a code that provided a combination to a lock that contained puzzle pieces. The first two players to retrieve and complete their puzzle would return to the game, while the rest were eliminated. C.T.’s competition in this challenge was Dario, Jordan, Leroy, and Bananas. C.T. was the first male to successfully figure out the code and complete his puzzle, and re-entered the game as a result.

C.T. eliminated Darrell in Knot So Fast (Invasion). It was the last champions elimination of the season. The grandest stage of them all was set and the two all-time great champions had to rely on their strategical intelligence to win this one. Darrell put up a good fighting effort in trying to undo C.T.’s knot, but it looked like a physically impossible task. It actually was. According to Darrell on Challenge Mania, C.T.’s knots were so tight that production had to cut them off with machetes after the elimination was over. C.T. broke the Knot So Fast elimination. That’s how intelligent C.T.’s strategy was. The elimination win versus Darrell gave C.T. a spot in the finals, where he faced off against underdogs Cory and Nelson, who were fifteen years younger and in the athletic prime of their lives. In the final challenge, C.T. still managed to acquire his second season win and proved to the rest of the Challenge world that the underdogs were no match for the champion of champions.

C.T. has the All-Time Greatest Eating Abilities.

Eating is such an important trait to have in the challenge. It’s often identified as the most difficult portion of the final challenge each season. Players hate it. We’ve actually seen players quit in the final before because they couldn’t stomach eating disgusting things. We’ve seen C.T. devour all types of disgusting things without looking fazed in the slightest, that makes you question whether or not he has taste buds.

Remember the pickled fish soup in the Rivals 2 final? C.T. drank his like he was chugging a beer, while everyone around him was vomiting all over the place. Wes couldn’t bother to even taste his drink, so C.T. chugged it down for him.

In the Exes 2 final, C.T. ate the deer head and sheep blood as if it was everyday dinner. When he finished his plate, C.T. decided to go for seconds and helped Diem finish up her plate as well.

C.T.’s eating abilities are inhumane. Not only is C.T. known for downing disgusting foods in final challenges as if it were nothing, but he’s also known for winning regular season competitions where you had to eat a ridiculous amount of food (Toss Your Cookies v. Shane, eating the entire birthday cake on Race to the Altar in Exes).

C.T.’s first championship and third championships (Rivals II and WOTWII) were social-political clinics.

C.T. played his first eight seasons without winning the big one. It wasn’t until Rivals II, his ninth season, where he finally got his first challenge gold medal. As usual, C.T. crushed it on the field, but off the field, in the Challenge house, he played one of the best political-social games I had ever seen. On Rivals II, the opposite sex had control over the votes on male elimination days. C.T. was wooing all the girls, and they thought they were going to be apart of the next love big story on the Challenge. C.T. was never voted in because at least one player within four of the female teams had a fling with C.T. or were falling heads over heel for him on Rivals 2 (Anastasia, Cooke, Diem, and Nany).

On War of the Worlds II, C.T. was a member of the U.K. Team. He was apart of Cara’s Cult/The Royal Family. The physical shape C.T. was in this season was his worst ever, so him not ever being considered for elimination by his own team is mind blogging. C.T.’s social game was on a whole another level this season. My favorite C.T. moment on WOTWII is when he turncoats on Cara’s Cult right before the final and saves Tori from elimination to strengthen U.K.’s team for the final. C.T.’s political-social finesse on WOTWII rightfully earned him his third championship.

C.T.’s social-political skill, in general, deserves more recognition. Every time I hear people talk about C.T.’s eliteness, people only bring up the competition juggernaut and not the social-political mightiness he’s established over the course of his sixteen season career.

C.T. has only done three less seasons than Johnny Bananas, but he’s been in 11 less eliminations. Other than the first Rivals, I don’t recall there being a time where he wasn’t at the top of social structures. He has a whole catalogue of seasons where he was either pulling strings from the top or aligning with the biggest playmakers that were ones doing the pulling (i.e: Inferno 2 – CT was in a four person alliance with Derrick/Brad/Darrell where there duties were to not nominate each other in the inferno selections; The Duel – CT/Evan/Derrick/Brad each were paired with the best athletic girls and controlled the chain selections; Exes 2 – in an alliance with Mark/Robin, Johnny/Camila, and DunbaPaula that ran the game till the very end).

C.T. made history twice on Invasion and War of the Worlds II.

C.T. won his second championship 22 seasons after his rookie season. He debuted on the original Inferno, which took place in 2004, and won Invasion of the Champions in 2017. That’s a span of 13 years. C.T.’s Invasion win broke the previous record of the longest span between a rookie debut and championship win, that was held by Johnny Bananas. J.B. won his sixth championship 16 seasons after his rookie season. He debuted on the original Duel, which aired in 2006, and won Rivals 3 in 2016 (a 10 year span).

C.T.’s new breaking record was broken again by none other than C.T, just a few seasons later. C.T. won War of the Worlds 2, which took place 27 seasons after the Inferno, and 15 years later.

C.T.’s Overall Assessment.

If you read up until this point, I’m guessing a lot of you probably refuse to agree with my opinion of C.T. being the fourth greatest male challenger ever. Here’s my argument: C.T. is the greatest Challenge talent ever, but he doesn’t have the greatest legacy. Like mentioned earlier, he’s the Peyton Manning of the Challenge and I don’t consider Peyton Manning the #1 G.O.A.T. of Football (Jerry Rice, Jim Brown, and Tom Brady fit that bill better). In my eyes, Bananas, Jordan, and Landon are those three guys. The combination of their talent, winning percentage, and accomplishments fair just slightly better than C.T’s.

C.T. has just three championships in a sixteen season career. The rest of my top three have won just as much in a lot lesser time (Jordan, Landon) or doubled his wins in the same type of lengthy career (Bananas). C.T.’s temper and poor decision making tossed three years of his absolute prime down the drain (Inferno III, Gauntlet III, Duel II) and his inability to perform in the clutch tossed another year (Exes). That’s five seasons where the ultimate competitor, C.T., missed out on championships.

On the Inferno III, C.T. is cast on the Bad Asses; He was the best player on the cast, but he gets sent home the first night in South Africa because he punches Davis. C.T. would’ve been a lock for the final this season, he threw another potential championship out the window.

In the Gauntlet 3 final challenge, Big Easy cost C.T. and all the other final remaining veterans a championship win. You’re probably confused as to how this is C.T.’s fault, but he actually had a major hand in letting Big Easy ride to the final. If you go back to the first gauntlet deliberation where Johnny got sent in against Evan, Johnny plead to the rest of the Veteran males that Big Easy should have to go in, because he was going to lose them a final. C.T., who was the leader of the team, didn’t buy into Johnny’s plea; He had personal dislike towards Johnny and his reason for not throwing Big Easy in was because he loved partying with him. What’s the logic in that? C.T., the whole season was preaching about “trimming the fat” (getting rid of the girls on their team) and never worrying about Easy once was a horrific example of how to play a winning game. Prime C.T. was always finding a way to be the author of his own demise.

On the Duel 2, C.T. went into cannibalism mode. C.T. would’ve legitimately smashed Adam’s head and ate Adam’s head if it wasn’t for like thirty cast and production crew members successfully capturing him (and then tranquilizing him and putting him in his cage). There’s no guaranteeing C.T. would’ve won the D2, since the top crop of males this season was stacked. But this is an absolute peak C.T. we’re talking about, who’s in contention for the best men’s competitor all-time, so a championship victory is never out of the question.

In the Exes final, C.T./Diem lead the whole way until the final run up the mountain. Right before the finish line, C.T.’s tank ran out of gas (mirroring Peyton’s ability to choke in the playoffs) and he delayed winning his first championship for even longer.

C.T.’s competitive abilities (ATG physical strength, aggression, athleticism, intelligence, and eating) and his championship success in his career’s second half are sufficient enough to get him into the Challenge Mount Rushmore, but the four seasons he tossed down the drain in the first half of his career are a little too detrimental to have him in the top trinity. I think about it like this: Would I consider drafting Prime C.T. (Inferno - Free Agents) as my first pick when constructing a team in an-all time draft? Nope. He, was easily #1 in terms of competitive talent, but he was a complete hothead with bad decision making and only won one championship in ten seasons. Would I consider drafting Dadbod C.T. (Invasion - Total Madness) number one? Not at all. He’s won two championships in six seasons, with a phenomenal social-political game, but his competitive abilities are half of what they were before. Every version of C.T. comes with a small albatross that keeps him from having top three legacy.

YOU THINK WE CAME THIS FAR TO SELL BEFORE APRIL?
ARE YOU DUMB OR ARE YOU DUMB?
do me a fucking favour, go to the closest mirror thats in your vicinity, loook in the mirror and slap yourself so hard that theres an echo in the room. Slap yourself so hard so you realize that your not drunk, its the markets. We will wait for the markets to sober up, we will wait when the president shuts down the whole country, we will wait when the unemployment numbers come out, we WILL follow suit with italy's economy and europe's economy (unfortunately), we will have more cases and panic.. this fucking list goes on.
BIG RALLY = BIG FALL
Remember, it doesn't matter how much money the feds offer coronavirus, the ronazz will keep on taking. We gave that bitch TRILLIONS and she still wants more? Us fucking bears realize that whatever amount of money we offer the ronazz it wont be enough. the ronazzz wants the WHOLE FUCKING WORLD, not a couple of trillions. SMARTEN UP BEARS. You weak bears are embarrassing us running around this forum crying that your puts are down.
ANY SPORTS BETTORS OUT THERE?
Sports betting (live odds) = options trading, IMO. Except live odds are priced in with time decay, and the greeks priced in with point spreads, better qb, better coach.. etc for sports. lets play football NFL for example:
APRIL PUTS BAG HOLDERS WE ARE IN THE FUCKING SUPERBOWL RIGHT NOW NOT MAY HOLDERS OR JUNE BAG HOLDERS. WE ARE. APRIL FUCKING HOLDERS.

EDIT#2 so much vaccine talks/cures. let me tell you something. I was alive when sars got introduced to the world. CV is even worse. they are both from the same family, the same strain. if we had a vaccine or a cure or something to suppress its rapid growth, we would have it by now and we would be working on a vaccine towards CV. reality is, they don't have one. everything is trial and error right now. clinical research trials takes years to produce and test. they are not going to come up with a vaccine before summer. stop being naive. look at the hard core facts with sars. there is no cure.
EDIT#3 AS OF 2:22 PM (LITERALLY 3 MINS AGO) The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the U.S. has surpassed 50,000, or 12.3% of all known cases worldwide

Part 3/3 My Introduction to a Professional Sports Betting Syndicate

I appreciate you making it this far. I know nowadays reading isn’t the best form of consuming content but for detailed stories I don’t see any other feasible way. Plus I doubt many people want to look at my ugly face lol. Hope you enjoy the final part.

Part 3/3

“Okay here’s how it’s gonna go kid”, Mario said as we discussed how and where the information would flow. “I don’t need to know all that other bullshit about team, position or type of injury, less is more. Player name and injury status, that’s it”. Mario was a pit bull, he dealt with all the information sources and I was just one of many, but I'd like to imagine I was a valuable one. I was to deal with him and only him and the next few days we were to run test trials to work out any kinks.
I don’t remember the first injury ping I got during the test trial period but I do remember the first injury report sent when we went live for real money [Tony Parker] - Doubtful. It was a very weird feeling that I can’t really describe whenever a ping came through, a mixture between excitement, fear and anxiety. I eventually got used to it but it took about a month.
The biggest issue for me during the testing period seems simple but it was copying the text on the ping I received and pasting it and sending it from my personal phone from the messenger app. I was always concerned about leaving a trail on my work computer which was a desktop that other co-workers used when I wasn’t there. As easy as it sounds to copy and paste, at the beginning my hands would be shaky and any mis-clicks cost valuable seconds and remember I couldn’t do my job of posting it at work until 15 seconds after I sent it to Mario, so during the trial period it was taking me roughly 35 to 40 seconds to post reports for my job, that’s a considerable delay. I had to be quicker sending it to Mario because the faster I do that the faster I’m able to post it for my work.
Trial period over and now it’s for real. [Danny Green] - Out. [Wesley Mathews] - Questionable. One by one I was sending the reports. One time attempting to be quick I copied the ping something like this EM-[Marc Gasol]-Shoulder-OUT and I immediately got a call from Mario who was pissed. “I don’t care if the player sprained his dick, it’s player and status, that’s it! I remember thinking jeez wtf. I found out later it had something to do with how they programmed it on their end with the auto-bet software, so any extra characters or information other than player and status would mess it up and they would miss getting the bets down, even if it was an extra . Or - it would mess it up, or at least that’s what I was told. The reports I sent him would be automatically inputted into their system, it was all automated. Mario made it clear that any pings I sent that weren’t formatted correctly or if by game time the status didn’t hold up I wouldn’t be paid for. Him being pissed off made sense to me after awhile, a lot of money is on the line and this is their full-time job and missing out on even one report could potentially be the difference of a winning or losing week.
Writing this has brought back so many memories, like the time at work we were due for a schedule change, they like to change the schedule every 6 months. I had only been doing the pings for about a month and a half and a schedule change would fuck this all up if I was moved to mornings. I paid my co-worker $200 to tell management he prefers mornings and of course I told them nights work best for me. I was in the clear for another 6 months.
I remember checking my mail and seeing a yellow envelope, my first payment from George, close to $10,000 all cash, payments got sent out in the mail on the 14th monthly. What was also interesting is it came with a breakdown of each ping I sent. Ex; Based on 22 days / Total Reports 31 2- accurately reported players OUT 3- accurately reported players Probable etc etc Some weeks there would be no key players or starters with any breaking injury news, some weeks there would be several. It could only be breaking news so if a coach has a press conference and it’s revealed that a player would be out the next 3 games that didn’t help me. Or if news came out while I wasn’t at work it didn’t help me. It’s funny even now when I see breaking news for a player injury I think about the pings and how many points that player means to the line.
So I’m about 3 months in now and I’m basically hoping players get hurt. I’ve received about 4 payments because the first one was prorated because I started halfway through a month. Money was rolling in. I remember talking to my mom and she had just found out she had to pay $3,200 on her annual taxes. She was crying when I came over and handed her 32 100 dollar bills.
My sister wanted new furniture for his first apartment, I told her to pick it out and let me know how much. My oldest brother who had always disapproved of my lifestyle and would often say “you are going to hell in a handbasket”, (never knew what that meant, still don’t.) He was going through an ugly divorce and was saying how it kills him to write that bitch a check each month and that he wishes he could just pay it all at once for the year and not have to deal with her. I asked him how much. Christmas I gave my two brothers, my sister and mother 1K each, no card, no envelope. Looking back I did some really tacky shit lol Look everyone I made it! It’s cringeworthy now being older thinking about some of the shit.
If you were 26-27 years old and single and money wasn’t an issue what would you do? Well that’s what I did, anything and everything. I would book flights to Vegas 1 day in advance just because on a Thursday I felt like going the next day, I wouldn’t even bring clothes I would buy them when I landed. Having money wasn’t totally new to me because I had made a lot of money as a bookie but having this much money coming in was new and all I had to do was go to work and click some buttons. You know how the saying goes, “easy come, easy go” that’s what money was like to me.
Another saying is “All good things come to an end”. It’s been about 6 months into this arrangement and I was now not only reporting injuries to George and his team but on certain days and even some full weeks he had me sending the reports to other betting groups. I was now interacting with not just one betting syndicate but 3 of them. There are probably thousands of sports betting groups in the country but there are only a handful of consistently successful betting groups that are profitable year after year and I had their ears. The top groups tend to work together. Every source I currently have and use now originated in some way, shape or form from these groups that I sent pings too. I’m not saying I’m buddies with the heads of these groups but I know a lot of current and former employees that have come and gone with these groups and I’ve always made sure to stay in contact. None of the money I made is still with me but the people I met and still talk to once in a while is something I value. It's a two way street, I wouldn’t be much use to them if I just constantly asked for info. I have to return the favor as well, that’s why when I discovered the SuperBowl commercial prop edge, it was these people who were the first to get it, after I bet it of course. (SuperBowl Prop Story is in the #Betting-Strategy-Advice channel in The Betting Network). I’m constantly looking for ways I can help them even after all this time because you never know when or how it can come back to you.
In total I basically reported these injuries for about 8-9 months and had started reporting some NCAAB key players injuries. I managed this without any major backlash from my company. Dealt with a few issues here and there with the betting groups but nothing major. After a while I realized a big reason for my company not noticing anything was that 80% of all pings were reported right away as normal, although the 20% that got delayed were the key players and starters. A couple customer complaints were about all that happened and when that did I would make sure to promptly send out MIL-G-[Ramon Sessions]-Questionable with no delay.
The way this arrangement ended is anticlimactic and it was something out of any of our control. I managed to avoid schedule changes and even declined a small promotion within the company and a couple outside job opportunities that if I showed any type of interest I could’ve got, all in order to keep this $15.75 hr job. But everything happens for a reason, the company I worked for sold its majority ownership and merged with 2 other companies, this resulted in my department being dissolved and I ultimately ended up leaving the company altogether shortly after. Everyone involved was crushed when I told them it was over, especially one of the groups George affiliated with because they only got about 2 months out of it. The good news was the connections were made and we all continued to work together in different ways but nothing will probably be as lucrative as the ping arrangement.
I Hope you guys enjoyed this story because I enjoyed going down memory lane. I actually texted a few of the guys involved in it last night and we talked about how great it was and how it would be impossible these days to do what we did for many reasons. It was great while it lasted that’s for sure.

Defending the Draft: San Francisco 49ers

Defending the 49ers Draft
The 2019 49ers were not expected to be much at the beginning of the season. If a 49er fan told you at the beginning of the 100th year season that the 49ers would not only go 13-3 and get the first seed but also make the Superbowl, you’d tell them to put down the crack pipe and stop being a massive homer. That’s how badly the 49ers have been the past few seasons. With a record of 2-14,6-10, 4-12 the past 3 years, one could hardly blame you for laughing at someone for thinking that the 49ers would be Super Bowl Contenders. Make the playoffs? Sure, why not. Win the division? Plausible, but unlikely considering you had the Super Bowl Appearing Rams and the ever-dangerous Seahawks with Russell Wilson to deal with after all. Make the Super Bowl pfft yeah right. But somehow this crack dream became a reality for 49ers fans. The 2019 49ers would not only be good--they’d be elite. With an elite defensive Line consisting of 4 First round D-lineman, and a creative offense orchestrated by offensive genius Kyle Shanahan, the 2019 49ers were a force to be reckoned with. Barely falling to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LV. So, with that the 2020 49ers expectations were higher than their 2019 variation. Here’s what John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan (ShanaLynch) have done so far to try and live up to them.
Offseason:
Key Loses: Emmanuel Sanders (WR); Deforest Buckner(DT), Trade for Colts 2019 First Round Pick; Joe Staley (LT), retirement; Mike Person (OG), Cut
Free Agency Additions: Travis Benjamin (WR); Tom Compton (OG); Joe Walker (LB)
As defending NFC Champions, the 49ers didn’t have many big moves that they could make due to being close to the cap, the need to retain key free agents and the contract extension of superstar Tight End George Kittle. Comparing the loses to the gains we can safely say the losses list is far more memorable than what they gained in free agency. Therefore, the main plan for the 2020 offseason was retaining as many players as possible. They were able to re-sign key pieces like Arik Armstead and Jimmie Ward, who were two valuable starters of the 49ers defense. Sadly, contract extension negotiations with Deforest Buckner didn’t go as the 49ers had hoped, and the 49ers traded him to the Indianapolis Colts for the 13th Overall Pick. Mid-season acquisition Emmanuel Sanders decided to walk from the 49ers contract offer and instead go to the New Orleans Saints. Starting Guard Mike Person was cut. Long time left tackle Joe Staley retired (that will be talked about later). The 9ers got some additions through free agency, but they are unlikely to make a significant impact on the team. With an offseason highlighted by loses, it was clear that the 49ers would need to look to the NFL draft if they wanted to improve upon their 2019-20 season.
Day 1:
The 49ers had Two Picks in the first round, setting them up for the potential of a very busy day one. Depending on what ShanaLynch wanted to do they had plenty of options available on what to do with these two valuable picks. Here’s what they decided to do with them.
Lead up
Originally having the 13th overall pick at the time, the 49ers had a plethora of options at this pick. Many mock drafters and 49ers fans themselves expected the 49ers to go with one of the big 3 of the wide receiver class (Jeudy, Lamb, and Ruggs). At the time of the pick there was still two of the top receiver prospects on the board and one of the top tackles of the class left in the class in Tristan Wirfs. Instead of picking them ShanaLynch decided to trade down and gain some draft capital. They ended up trading down with Tampa Bay only one spot and gained a 2019 4th in exchange for a 2019 7th. When the time came for them to pick again instead of the top receivers left here’s who they decided to pick.
Round 1 Pick 14: Javon Kinlaw, Defensive Tackle, South Carolina
If you were to ask an NFL fan, “what is the scariest thing about facing the 49ers?”, the thing that will come up most is “man, they have a scary defensive line”. Buckner played a vital role, and his trade sent the 49ers D-line from “cheat code” to just top 5. If the 49ers wanted to keep up their defensive line dominance than they would need a monster to replace Buckner. Javon Kinlaw is a monster. At 6’5” 324 lbs with long arms, Kinlaw is a freak of nature that can eat up double teams and straight up win one on ones. When watching his tape, one consistent thing is the power he plays with. Against Georgia he completely dominated that game, playing almost every snap, and was consistently in the face of Jake Fromm, even directly causing Fromm to throw a crucial pick 6. In the Senior Bowl he was completely dominant and almost no one was able to stop him. When they play against the 49ers, NFL Qbs will now have the unpleasant option of either being pushed out of the pockets and into the arms of Bosa and Ford, or stepping up into the pocket of Kinlaw and Armstead. The ability to be able to create pressure by rushing 4 is a nightmare for QBs. On passing downs this season 49ers opponents will have to choose to double either Bosa, Armstead, Ford, or Kinlaw or keeping eligible receivers in the backfield to help block. Most teams will undoubtedly choose to leave the rookie one on one and if Kinlaw translates his college game to the nfl, that will likely be the wrong choice.
His big knock predraft was his lack of technique and his reliance on power. Even Kinlaw himself admitted that he needed to get better with his technique. To reach his full potential, Kinlaw needed a good D-line coach—conveniently, 49ers Coach Kris Kocurek is one of the best in the business. With a resume consisting of Ndamukuh Suh, Ezekiel Ansah, Cameron Wake, Robert Quinn, and the 2019 49ers, Kocurek has helped coach and develop a lot of talented D-Linemen. Kinlaw is in the right hands and if he busts it won’t be due to his environment on the 49ers.
Some people may say “it was a bad move to trade Deforest Buckner only to replace him with someone you hoped could be as good as him. It may have been better to just accept d-line weaker and upgrade something else like wideout. The d-line will still be good but the wideouts will be better.” It’s a reasonable argument to make and one of the reasons why I was initially hesitant about the Kinlaw pick. But one could argue it wasn’t just Deforest Buckner for Javon Kinlaw, but it was Deforest Buckner for his replacement and cap flexibility. If the 49ers wanted to maintain cap flexibility, they had a choice of Buckner and at best a 2021 3rd round comp pick from losing Armstead or Armstead and Kinlaw. It’s a hard choice to make, but if Kinlaw works out it becomes the easy choice, and Kinlaw is a very good prospect to make that bet on.
Lead up
With their original first round pick many pundits anticipated that the 49ers trade back. They had no day 2 picks and only had a 4th, two 5ths, a 6th and a 7th. Many analysts and experts expected the 49ers to fix the lack of day 2 picks with pick 31. It makes sense, get an elite prospect with their early pick and use their later first rounder for more picks. When it comes to the drafts, Analysts usually prefer to go for a “quantity over quality”-type approach--get as many players as possible and hope at least one of them works out. The 49ers traded the pick all right… It just wasn’t down. With their 2020 first rounder along with their 2020 4th they got from the trade down from thirteen and a 2020 5th, the 49ers traded UP with the Vikings to gain pick 25. I was shocked by this trade, as most 49ers fans were. We were expecting a trade down. By trading up, the 49ers completely obliterated any hope of having a day 2 pick and basically decimated the rest of their draft capital. In short, this trade up was a huge gamble. It was obvious that the 49ers were going to take someone who they were all-in on. So, who’s this player that the 49ers blew the rest of their draft capital load on?
Round 1 Pick 25: Brandon Aiyuk, Wider Receiver, Arizona State
After a season with inconsistent wide receivers, it seemed very likely that the 49ers would take a receiver with one of their first-round picks. Most fans and analysts figured it would be Jeudy, Ruggs or Lamb at 13 and then trade down with their other pick. By trading the 13th pick, and picking Kinlaw at 14, Shanahan showed that he wasn’t interested in any of them. Instead he went with Aiyuk, a player with a first-round grade but not mentioned as much by most fans. Shanahan, however, after the draft, called him his favorite receiver in the draft. Normally one could say this is just coach speak, but if you look at his tape and the traits he has, it’s very plausible that Aiyuk was Shanahan’s first choice. This one is going to be a long, and the reason it’s going to be long is because I believe Aiyuk is going to be the key pick for this draft. If Kinlaw doesn’t work out its bad but our defensive line is still going to be fine. Aiyuk on the hand can make or break our wide receiver room, outside of Deebo there are a lot of question marks and with the fact we spent what little draft capital left we had on him, there’s a lot invested. I’m going to be honest here, I didn’t really investigate Aiyuk that much. I was sure that the 49ers would go with the big 3. I was dead wrong on that. Looking at him now my thoughts on him are “man he is damn good”. At 5’11 3/4th” and about 200 pounds one of the most noticeable things about him is his wingspan--81 INCHES. To quote u/rockysauce115 “That man can tie his shoes standing up”. The one thing he stands out for among what is considered one of the deepest wide receiver class is something that has become synonymous with the 49ers themselves, YAC. Aiyuk averaged 18.3 YPR and of those yards 9.9 of them were after the catch leading the nation. Once the ball gets in his hand he doesn’t go down, no he keeps moving and if defenders fail at making a play he is gone.
At the combine he ran a 4.5 40--a decent score, but nothing to special. Aiyuk was still recovering from a core muscle surgery, however, and if you put him on tape and his highlights you realize he runs on the field faster than his 40. He absolutely can dust guys. Last season he was marked at running 21.97 mph in pads. To put that in context, only three other players in the Nfl ran faster. Take that what you will but just know that Brandon Aiyuk is a lot faster than his 40 time--make a mistake and he has enough speed to make you pay for it. His burst, however, is elite. Having a 40 inch vertical jump and a 128 inch Broad Jump translates him to a Burst score of 132 (92nd Percentile). This man is not just a workout warrior but an athlete, and that translates on the field. Aiyuk can work magic once the ball is in his hands. Now the question becomes, “will it be possible to get the ball into his hands at the NFL level?” The short answer is “yes”. Shanahan has a penchant for getting receivers open in the NFL. If he wants Aiyuk to have the ball, he will get Aiyuk open enough to get the ball. But even if he didn’t have Shanahan scheming him open, I believe Aiyuk would be able to get open on his own in the NFL. Brandon Aiyuk doesn’t have the route running of Jerry Jeudy--no one does. But when you put on his tape you can see that despite his need to polish his route running, he has a solid foundation that teams can build on. His feet are light. They aren’t clunky and they can change direction in an instant. He has shown the ability to set up corners. These things make him a prospect that Shanahan can mold into the receiver he needs to unlock the full potential of his offense. Who is the receiving coach that will be tasked with helping Aiyuk get there? A guy who knows a thing or two about route running—Wes Welker.
Criticisms/concerns surrounding Aiyuk are 1) being just a one-year wonder, 2) his competition in the PAC 12, and 3) the trade up itself. Aiyuk isn’t a typical one-year wonder like most people think. He was a beast in Junior College being named a junior college All American his sophomore year and while it doesn’t mean much it does show that he was able to dominate his lower competition which you want to see out of elite guys . Junior year the argument can be made that he was adjusting to the FBS level and when he finally got the chance to be the number one in Arizona State’s offense his senior year, he made use of that opportunity and ran away with it like he ran away from defenders. The one-year wonder is a valid concern but I don’t think its back breaking. He’s always been good he just hasn’t been good on the highest stage yet.
The Pac 12 was not good, it hasn’t been for a while. When Aiyuk faced good defenses he generally did not produce. The only one he did was against Oregon and man did he leave a mark on them. But his supporting cast also wasn’t the greatest. For example, he had Jayden Daniels at Qb… Jayden Daniels was ranked the worst pac 12 qb in terms of accuracy and PFF had him graded as the 72 ranked Qb in the FBS. No knock-on Daniels--he was only a freshman and he will probably get better, but for Aiyuk, he was terrible. So yes, one can argue that Aiyuk didn’t face the best competition but the counter to that is it’s not like his team mates were world beaters either and somethings were out of Aiyuk’s control and all he can do is put his best on tape and generally his best was really good.
Finally, the trade up, a lot of pundits have been saying “you didn’t need to trade up for him he would’ve been there at pick 31 heck you could’ve traded down and still gotten him.” That’s bogus YOU don’t know if he will be there at pick 31 all it takes is one team that is ahead of you that rates him as similar as you do and suddenly your guy… gone, instead you have to settle. Now you can make the argument that they should’ve just settled and get one of the second-round receivers after all this is one of the deepest draft classes in a while. Buuuttt looking at the second round wideouts none of them really seem like they’d be as good of a fit for the 49ers. So even if they stayed put and settled, there didn’t seem to be a receiver that fit Shanahans offense as well as Aiyuk did. Its scheme fit vs talent and when that Scheme fit also has talent it apparently was too much for Shanahan too miss out on and he needed to trade up for him.
When we initially picked Kinlaw I was bummed, he was a good player but I was hoping to add a receiver that can add another dimension to the offense. Looking at the Aiyuk tape now it makes me feel a whole lot better about the Kinlaw pick. I really like Aiyuk and the potential he has and I’m excited to see him in the Shanahan offense. I think the 49ers are lucky that they were able to get a prospect like him at pick 25. In a year not as stacked at wide receiver he very well could’ve been a top 3 wide receiver. Either way the 49ers got a very good wide receiver prospect and I’m hopeful and believe he can do great things for them.
Day 2:
The 49ers didn’t have any day 2 picks and the reason for this is because they traded them for immediate contributors. The 2020 2nd round pick was used for Dee Ford and the 3rd and 4th round pick were used for Emmanuel Sanders. I’ve seen worse use of day two picks and even though Sanders was a half season rental he provided a stability and veteran presence that was desperately needed in the wide receiver room.
Day 3:
Day 3 was a big day. Leading up to the draft there were rumors of Longtime 49ers left tackle Joe Staley retiring and these rumors were true. Staley has been a rock for years and it will be sad to no longer see him on the line. With his retirement the 49ers NEEDED a left tackle, now they could’ve done the safe thing and just take Wirfs at 13 and just live with the fact that they would no longer have a dominant defensive line, instead they chose to go a different route. With a 2020 5th round pick and 2021 3rd round pick the 49ers acquired Trent Williams from the Washington Redskins. I really don’t need to defend Trent Williams since he’s literally the perfect Shanahan Tackle--big, athletic, and moves way faster than a man his size should move. He’s earned quite a few pro bowls, and people know who he is. Normally it would’ve cost quite a bit to get tackle of his caliber but due to drama in Washington the 49ers were able to get him for cheap. If he can shake off the rust from missing a year, Jimmy G’s beautiful face won’t ever have to worry about his blindside. Hopefully they can re-sign him to a reasonable contract but if they don’t a 3rd and a 5th is still a good price for a guy his caliber even if it’s for one year. I love Joe Staley and he had an amazing career, but for 2020 I’d bet that a 32-year-old Williams is going to be an upgrade over a 35-year-old Staley.
Lead up
Fan favorite Rb Matt Breida was traded to help the 49ers gain some draft capital back and he was traded to the dolphins for their pick. He was great value; a UDFA, became a key contributor and was flipped for a 5th rounder. Here’s his replacement
Round 5 pick 153: Colton Mckivitz, Offensive Tackle, West Viriginia
Mckivitz was a 4-year starter at West Virginia and played both right and left tackle. He was always on the field for them and was just a mean guy that can move people. Many pundits expect him to move inside and he will have the chance to win the now vacant RG spot. You should never complain about offensive line depth and if he wins the starting guard job this is a fantastic pick—that, or our guards suck. If all he does is be depth on the line and fill in where he can that’s still great and a good use of a 5th rounder. Something that is interesting is that he earned first team All big 12, big 12 co-offensive lineman of the year and an 2nd team All American. The reason that’s interesting is that generally offensive linemen awards usually just go to guys on good teams. West Virginia was not a good team, and the fact that he was able to earn those rewards shows his ability.
Lead up
Their 6th round pick involved a trade up with the Eagles. The 49ers didn’t give up much and all it was worth was Marquise Goodwin. Goes to show how much Goodwin was worth to the 49ers. But with the pick swap here’s who they moved up for that they thought was worth one Marquise Goodwin.
Round 6 pick 190 Charlier Woerner, Tight End, Georgia
Charlie Woerner is a 6’5” 252 pound Tight end that really wasn’t involved in the passing game that much. He’s an athletic dude but a bit slow and he didn’t have very much production in terms of receptions and frankly he’s not really projected to be much in the passing game. So why was this guy drafted? Well this man can BLOCK and he blocks well with energy and enthusiasm. This guy can wall off defenders and if he’s in space he can help spring the running backs into big gains. He’s going to be the Levine Toilolo replacement, a blocking tight end that can help the run game. If he has any impact in the pass game it’ll be extra, but if you’re a tight end and you’re willing and able to block you will find out that teams can find roster spots for you.
Lead up
The 49ers made a lot of moves in the draft and with their last pick it was the only original one that didn’t trade. So here’s the last pick of the 2020 49ers draft Class.
Round 7 pick 217: Juan Jennings, Wide Receiver, Tennessee
The first thing that I can think of when I put on his highlights is “man this kid plays tough”. At 6’3” and 210 pounds he’s a big slot that makes plays every time the ball is thrown his way. You can see the heart he plays with and I can see why Tennessee fans love him. Sadly, he is a bit slow, running a 4.72 which is not good for a wide receiver. But he makes plays with the ball and he is a tough receiver. As I look at him though, I’m sorry Tennessee fans, he’s most likely just Jalen Hurd insurance. He has a similar profile to Hurd but Hurd is more athletic. Jennings has a bit of climb to make the 53-man roster. Granted if Hurd fails to comeback or even busts, I think Jennings can fill the role that Shanahan hoped Hurd can fill in a big receiver that can play multiple positions and make plays with the ball in hand. For a team there’s nothing wrong with getting insurance in case a certain part you want doesn’t work. It sucks for Jennings but if he does well in camp but gets cut due to no room I won’t be surprised if another team immediately picks him up.
UDFA
Despite the draft being done there still was guys that can make an impact that didn’t get drafted. So with that here are some interesting 49ers UDFA
UDFA Jamychal Hasty, Running Back, Baylor
Shanahan is known for crapping out production from no names at running back. All he needs is a guy that can one cut and be fast. Jamychal Hasty can one cut and be fast, he is an Athlete with burst and speed. He will probably replace fan favorite Matt Breida in being that speedster. He also did make some plays in the passing game at Baylor and if he can do that in the NFL as well that’d be great.
UDFA Chris Finke, Wide Receiver, Notre Dame
Chris Finke is your stereo typical white slot receiver. He can run routes well and make tough plays over the middle. A real gym rat, a last guy out first guy in type guy. Jokes aside I personally think he’s Trent Taylor insurance, a guy that can just get open at the sticks and be an option for Jimmy G on third downs but if he ends up more, well, nice.
UDFA Darrion Daniels, Defensive Tackle, Nebraska
Daniels is a big dude who can hold his ground on the line of scrimmage. He doesn’t offer much in the pass rush but in the run game he can take double teams well. If he can be a great Run defender and be D-line depth it’s a good signing.
Conclusion
The 49ers in this draft went the opposite of what analytics wanted--they decided that they would rather go for quality of prospects than quantity of prospects. The front office mentioned that the reason that they weren’t that desperate for mid round picks was because they felt the roster was well set and it would be harder for those mid round picks to make the team. Heck--out of the 22 starters last year’s super bowl appearing, 19 of them will be returning. So, it's reasonable to think that there’s not much room. Instead of the shotgun approach to the draft they are hitching this drafts success in Brandon Aiyuk, Javon Kinlaw and Trent Williams (even though Williams is not a rookie). It’s not a bad set of names to bet on and they did the best they could over the offseason to try to run the table again. I’m excited to see these new names and how they’ll fit, and I’m also excited to see what new fun plays that Shanahan will reveal.

Draft #1

While the previous owner left me an awful roster, there was significant rookie capital to work with. Here's how I came out of my rookie draft:
So I came out of the draft with what I believed to be 4 consistent starters in addition to what would become, in all likelihood, some waiver-fodder.
Revisiting my starting lineup, I now have my RB2 slot filled by Sanders, and my young WRs slot into the WR2 & WR3 position. Rashaad Penny and Desean Jackson filled my flex positions. Still not a pretty roster, but workable.

Major Trades - Offseason #1

Trade #1: The Haul
Davante Adams was (and still is) an elite WR1, however, if his prime will be wasted on my dumpster-fire roster, so I work the lines and come up with this trade:
The trade was as close to a win-win as you'll get in dynasty, as he was a contender and I was in full rebuild.
Trade #2: The God Win
Cooper Kupp was a WR1 in terms of PPG the year before, and I was comfortable with him, but his age was still pushing it on a young roster. Again, I think the worst think you can do is waste a player's prime & peak value on a roster that is not ready to win. So during the summer, I'm looking to move him. I score this deal:
By all accounts, I lost this trade. None of the trade calcs liked it for me. Cooper Kupp was an established high-end WR2/low WR1 and, as we all remember, Preston Williams was lighting the world on fire in training camp. This was a pure gut call betting on Godwin's talent and potential for growth.
Trade #3: Keeping up with the Joneses
Aaron Jones was another guy who stood out on my roster as a guy whose prime I would be wasting if I held on to him.
I was super high on Lockett following Doug Baldwin's retirement and was also looking to collect 2020 picks. Pringle was just a throw-in. In hindsight, I definitely lost this trade.

2020 Season

No major trades. Finish 10th with a 4-9 record. My league gives rookie picks in terms of lowest points scored (we penalize tanking severely), I end up with rookie 1.02. My other 2020 1sts I traded for become 1.07 and 1.12.
The day after the superbowl, I make this trade:
Honestly would have made this trade without the 3.03. While I still like Harry, no one can deny he looked awful in his opportunities last year. Kenyan Drake plugs in as an immediate RB1 imo. This was before the David Johnson trade & Drake signing his 1-year transition tag, so you can imagine how hype I was after those items fell into place lol.

Draft #2

I'm very happy with my rookie haul, and it looks like my team has turned the corner. My roster now looks something like:
QB - Kyler Murray
RB - Miles Sanders
RB - Clyde Edwards-Helaire
WR - Chris Godwin
WR - Deebo Samuel
WR - CeeDee Lamb
TE - Hunter Henry
Flex - Kenyan Drake
Flex - Tyler Lockett
With some strong depth at WR. However, this roster still looks a year away from seriously competing.

Major Trades - Offseason #2

Trade #4: Run CMC
There are a couple things you should know about my dynasty philosophy when looking at this trade: (1) I believe you win leagues by having the best starting lineup week-to-week; (2) As such, you should always aim to get the BEST player in every deal you make. Prioritize upgrading a position over accruing depth. There's obviously some wiggle room, gray area, etc. in there, but generally this guides my process.
I was really antsy about making this deal because I know I'm giving up a lot. I posted the trade on the reddit's megathread and folks were telling me I win this trade. I posted it to twitter and the final vote was 45% CMC side, 55% Godwin side. Ultimately, this trade is very fair valuewise, it just comes down to CMC sustaining is uber-elite production and if Lamb & CEH reach their respective ceilings.

So there you have it, a year in review. Overall, I'm pretty happy with this rebuild and I'm pumped for the NFL season! Thanks for reading!

Has anyone here with a rough past of gambling on slots/in the pits been able to successfully kick the problem and stick to 100% playing poker?

Long read incoming...
I started dabbing in online poker a couple years before Black Friday happened. I was a losing player, but I was determined to change to that. I never did turn it around before Black Friday though. But this didn't stop me from giving up on my poker dream, I started buying poker books and reading strategy articles online. I was 20 when Black Friday happened and I convinced myself that I was going to take the live poker scene by storm when I turned 21. On my 21st birthday I went to the casino and won. And the next couple of sessions after that I won too. I was on top of the world, I truly believed I was going to be the next Tom Dwan. And then reality hit me, I lost a few sessions and before I knew it I was right back where I started.
I always knew that playing in the pits was -EV and that you're never supposed to do it, I picked that up from multiple books/articles over my reading when I was 20. But one day when I got to the casino there were insanely long lists for poker, so I told myself that just this once I was going to try blackjack, what's the worst that could happen? So I sit with like $40 bucks or something and turn it into almost $500. It was an amazing feeling, I could play poker for hours and hours and hours, but I just had my biggest one day score to date, and it wasn't in poker, it was in blackjack in less than 30 minutes.
So I still played poker, but from time to time I would play blackjack too. Of course I lost back what I won that first day on blackjack and then some. I would try to be disciplined and grind at poker, but if I took a bad beat or had a losing session I would always end up chasing my losses in blackjack. Eventually the poker playing was less and less and the blackjack playing was more and more. It got to the point where I basically quit poker altogether. Every time I would save up a few hundred in cash tips at my job, I would drive to the casino after work that night and play $25/hand blackjack. This went on for a couple years and overall I was down close to 15k before I decided enough is enough and that something needed to change.
So what did I do? Started working at the casino as a blackjack dealer. I couldn't play there anymore, and the next closest casino was 2 hours away. I also had hopes that being around so many miserable losing players would shake me of the habit. Well of course that was not the case. I think of it like the prison analogy, someone goes in a small time offender and comes out a seasoned criminal. That was exactly the case for me. I studied wizard of odds every day, I was obsessed with learning all of the odds for each casino game. I knew basic strategy for blackjack like the back of my hand, I learned how to count cards, I learned about games that prior to working there I didn't even know existed. And eventually of course I started making the 2 hour trips to the closest casino, placing bigger and bigger bets as time went on.
Eventually I got promoted to a poker dealer. And at least where I worked, that's like the holy grail of casino jobs. You make more money, you get to sit instead of stand, and degenerates aren't allowed to blow smoke in your face for 8 hours a day. And also this was like the rekindling of my poker dream. I got to watch players make bad plays for 8 hours a day and see firsthand what works and what doesn't. I started obsessing with poker again. When I wasn't at work I would come home and watch poker videos, read about poker, take 2 hour trips to the casino on my off days and play poker, I learned about 2+2 and posted hand histories for the first time ever...I feel like I became a much better player during this time than I ever had been before. But I could still never kick the table games and chasing losses problem. From my time as a table games dealer, I learned that baccarat was the best odds for me for what I was trying to accomplish, and that is chase losses at as close to neutral EV as possible in as quick an amount of time as possible. And I also learned about the martingale betting system. This, combined with the fact that I'm making more money now than I was before...I think you can see where this is going.
So fast forward about 5 years and that's where I'm at now, except the betting amounts have gotten higher and higher, gotta keep chasing that high. I still study poker on my time away from work quite a bit, and I still take long trips to the casino a few times a month. But I have never been able to kick the habit of chasing losses that I developed when I was 21. Take a bad beat in poker? Fuck, let's try to get it back in baccarat. Damn, 4 players in a row. How the fuck did I let a $500 loss in poker turn into losing another $3000 at baccarat. And then I tell myself I'm done for good, but the thoughts always creep back and eventually I give in. I have an off day from work so plan a trip to the casino, go to the bank and take $6000 from my checking account, drive 2 hours to the casino to play one hand of baccarat, win or lose. And there's no explaining the feeling i get in my chest once I start getting close to the casino, and eventually once I sit down as the dealer is counting out all that money, and the floor starts frantically panicking once I tell them I'm not using a player's card. They get on the phone, have a little meeting with another floor, keep eyeballing me. And then finally the bet is placed and I get to peel both the cards and see if I win or lose. I've never done drugs so I can't compare, but I imagine this is a similar feeling. But I've gotten to the point where I've placed so many big bets that most bets do nothing for me anymore, and I don't have a job where I can regularly place bets big enough to do anything anyways (and even if I did, I'd probably just keep going bigger and bigger until those bets did nothing for me too).
The most degenerate thing I've ever done is plan a last minute one day flight to Vegas. I was going to place a $30,000 Superbowl bet on my favorite team. I was so fucking over gambling, I just lost one of those big baccarat bets and was hating life. I wanted to empty my checking account so I couldn't fucking chase anymore, and what better way to do it then in one last ditch effort to win back all the money I've lost gambling over the years and then some, all while rooting for a team to win the Superbowl that I was going to be rooting for anyways. So on the flight out there, of course I get the genius idea to use that $30,000 to martingale 2 hands of baccarat, just under 75% of the time I'll have $10,000 and a Superbowl bet slip as opposed to not martingaling 2 hands of baccarat, where 100% of the time I'll have $0 and a Superbowl bet slip. So of course I martingaled and I ended up winning, but the original goal of being broke so I couldn't chase anymore was gone as now I still had a bankroll.
If you look up the definition of a compulsive gambler, it's basically me. I scored 18 out of 20 on these questions (and it would've been 20 out of 20 if given the opportunity). I remember reading a passage in one of the poker books I had when I was 20 and it has stuck with me all this time, it was something along the lines of "if you have a gambling problem you should put this book down and give up poker now, or else you'll be in for a long life of misery". With every passing year that is looking more and more like it is the case. The past 10 years of my life have been spent on this never ending cycle of trying to separate poker from my gambling addiction, and rest of the misery that comes with it.
So that brings me back to the original question. Has anyone been able to successfully kick a gambling problem and stick to 100% playing poker? Does anyone have any tips/advice or questions for me? Does anyone relate in any way to anything I said? And if you don't want to post it here, please PM me instead because I really want help. I want to be able to quit gambling on everything except poker, but if the past 10 years are any indication then that might not be possible for me.

9 months remain until election day. Here is why Trump MUST lose.

Ladies and gentlemen, it is (Not My) President’s Day, and in about 9 months, Americans will be voting in the election. It still seems as though former Vice President Joseph Biden is the Democrats’ best bet at defeating Trump. The trial for Trump’s impeachment is still ongoing, and it will determine whether or not he will be removed and convicted for abuse of power and obstruction of congress. Today, I have a list of things that Trump has said and done to discredit him as President of these United States, and I want to be able to convince everyone, if not just anyone from the Far Left to the Moderate Right, and all in between, to support removal, or at least a Biden victory in the election this November.
First and foremost, the detention centers. Even holocaust survivors have compared these to Nazi concentration camps; the only things missing are the forced labour and experimenting, as well, to an extent, the torture and ruthless killing. They’re overcrowded and disgusting. Kids are not only being separated from their parents, but they are forced into cold cells with up to 100 other migrants, some even having to stay outside because the facilities are so overcrowded. The children are being denied tooth brushes, showers, beds, a changing of clothes, phone calls, sometimes the basic need to feed themselves (both food and hydration wise), and the closest thing they have to blankets are sheets of Aluminium foil. Some kids are even getting sick, some to the point that they can’t even eat when actually given food. Even still, the food is low quality, and the “water” is almost pure Chlorine. There are allegations of sexual abuse of the prisoners (I thought HISPANICS were supposed to be the rapists), as if them crossing illegally wasn’t already negated by the conditions they are put in, simply for SEEKING ASYLUM in the land of opportunity. The kids are being held for well over the maximum custody period of 72 hours, some being detained as long as 11 days. This a brutal piece of legislation that Trump is depraved enough to finally take advantage of to such rampant levels. He has done far worse than build a wall, or deport the immigrants. What’s more is that he has had critics of his immigration policies ARRESTED against the grain of the first amendment, guaranteeing freedom of speech. However, his supporters’ hypocrisy went on full display, as they did not condemn this, as it happened to a person with a more Liberal view on the issue, but when The_D****d (censored so I don’t get banned from EnoughTrumpSpam, hopefully) was quarantined in June of last year, THEN they began protesting that free speech was being suppressed BY LIBERALS through SOCIAL MEDIA, and not in the real world, where rules that websites impose have NO jurisdiction.
The second most concerning thing about his presidency is that he was acquitted on his impeachment charges; Abuse of power and obstruction of congress. You talk about the most unfair impeachment in American history? This is the most unfair ACQUITTAL. Let’s be honest, it’s that blind loyalty that Republicans are associated with; I mean at least Mitt Romney, Obama’s opponent in 2012, sided with the Democrats. Aside from that, Senate Republicans voted AGAINST hearing what witnesses have to say. You can’t get any closer to plugging your ears and yelling “LA LA LA LA I CAN’T HEAR YOU!”, because this is exactly what the Senate looks like. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is either smitten with Trump’s disgusting abuse of position, or doesn’t want to believe Trump is as bad as the rest of the country says he is. The senate is run by radicals that would be all over having witnesses testify if Trump were a Democrat, but will blatantly break their oath just to keep a Republican president safe from conviction. This was the most ridiculous trial, and an absolute sham, and a disgrace to our democracy. A miscarriage of justice. I don’t know what Nancy Pelosi was thinking when handing in the articles of impeachment to the Senate. Pelosi wanted to ensure a fair trial, and nothing short of it before sending in the articles. Either she failed the democracy she fought to keep, or somewhere in there, the Senate Republicans lied to her. What’s even more grotesque about this acquittal is the fact that Trump was able to get away with mocking the national anthem on Superbowl night, a night where you’d have to be a complete and utter fool to assume no one was watching you, as President Of The United States. You’d also have to be a complete and utter fool to think, after his actions on Superbowl night, that Trump has learned his lesson from impeachment. It WILL happen again, whether it takes a week, a month, 9 months, or (and please don’t jinx it) 5 more years with him in office. He will be the first President to face 2 impeachments. The Senate is beyond saving, but hopefully this serves as a signal to the vast majority of American voters that the Republicans are a corrupt party.
In other violations of the First Amendment, Mitch McConnell had protestors rallying for him to defend the constitution over the President arrested. He’s made it clear that he wants removal of Trump from office via impeachment to be as difficult as possible as long as he is the majority leader. Although what we don’t know is if the protestors had permits. So it’s rather an allegation that Mitch McConnell is also 100% for desecration of the constitution, as long as it benefits the Republican party.
We’ve also heard Trump promise that he will LEGALLY enforce prayer as part of school routine. Um, no. There are already Christian schools designated for that purpose. There is church, and “Sunday school” programs. From an Agnostic standpoint, it is with my utmost confidence that prayer and religion becoming a component of the schools that do not (currently) sponsor religion is not necessary, and that if Christian families are adamant enough that their children follow the teachings of Christ, they would be signed up for Christian schools, Sunday school sessions, and would religiously (no pun intended) attend church every Sunday. And besides that, Trump’s promise is pushing a fine line, being that the founding fathers wanted to separate state and church. I’m really just calling out this statement as a bluff, I wouldn’t expect this to actually be enacted. I think Trump is just trying to lure back the rogue enlightened evangelicals that are picking up on his lack of morals, and are subsequently calling for his removal.
Not necessarily a Trump issue, but states across the country had women living in fear because of the strict abortion laws that were almost implemented tlast year, proposing to restrict the time window to just 6 weeks, with the exception of Alabama, which apparently tried to outlaw the procedure completely. These states tried to restrict abortions, even for exceptions of rape, incest, and the mother’s health. Founding father Thomas Jefferson has been quoted, 2 of his quotes I’d like to bring up; the first of which being “When the government fears the people, there is liberty; when the people fear the government, there is tyranny.”; The second of which being “Rebellion to tyranny is obedience to god.”. Jefferson was also a believer in science, which has agreed that 24-28 weeks, also known as viability, is the ideal legal time window for abortions, if there should be a legal window in the first place. Women were already being sentenced to life when they were first signed into law, while Georgia had (apparently) considered the death penalty. It’s as if getting an abortion is the modern equivalent to practicing witchcraft; it’s a witch hunt! But on a good note, it seems as if these laws were dropped towards the end of the year.
Same goes for the states that have apparently been trying to ban labelling vegan products as “vegan products”. Because apparently, a specific diet is now offending Republicans, especially those with the power to enact this stuff. Yet we’re the crybabies.
Any and all rape accusations against Trump should’ve been taken as seriously as they were when it was Bill Clinton being accused. Clinton was impeached over it, Trump, however, wasn’t, until his abuse of power and obstruction of congress forced Nancy Pelosi’s hand. But let’s not forget his case in 2016 before the election, his accusations by E. Jean Carroll (who even offers evidence), and the Epstein case in July last year, where he was said to have been involved. There is no excuse for voting for a sex offender, a rapist, a pedophile, other than Republican elitism. Biden may be a creep, but he’s done nothing nearly as bad as Trump has, in regards to sexual violence/unsolicited romantic gestures.
Unless the majority of his supporters are boomers who have no interest or regard to the things Trump says on the internet, or are ignorant to the internet in general, it should also be massively noted that Trump has praised the Chinese Communist dictatorship for abolishing term limits for their head of state. This allowed Xi Jinping to rule for life, the man who is imprisoning innocent ETHNIC Uyghurs, as well as other Muslims, in Xinjiang/East Turkestan, and throwing them in concentration camps WORSE than that of which underage Hispanic immigrants are being held in at our southern border. He has also attacked free speech by describing the grounds of “dangerous speech”; writing bad about something that is good. Surely, he thinks he and his supporters are the good guys, and thinks “fake” news, Liberals, and other CRITICS are the bad guys. He has become the second Republican, at least in politics and that I know of, to attack free speech, after Rush Limbaugh. Many of his supporters, especially those over on The_D****d (and others), have suggested making him KING of The United States, while some of his allies have already PUBLICLY, ONE THE NEWS, accused the Democrats of regicide. This is most certainly beyond Conservatism; it is full bore Monarchism (intermediate right wing). This is what we expelled from our land during the Revolution. We wanted a President whose power was kept in check, not a tyrannical monarch with unlimited authority. Trump has gone from the worst President since Andrew Jackson, to the worst supreme head of state ruling over America since King George III.
The claim about his supporters having no interest or regard in the internet is actually (somewhat) verified by his supporters taking after him, and dismissing Trump saying that he could shoot and kill anyone and not lose ANY support, as fake news. So suppose he actually does it, with video evidence going viral. Is it still fake news? Does he have to actually be sentenced? Even if he is miraculously found innocent, is he not a terrible person? Trump SUPPORTERS have crossed the line between undying loyalty and blind obedience. Something tells me that that Republican elitism is, in fact, there, and people WILL vote for Trump, despite not only his rape accusations, but this entire list of things he HAS said and done.
He seems to lack knowledge as to how to use social media. Something tells me that Trump never used a computer before 2010, and if he did, he still hasn’t fully learned how. He is easily fooled by phony Reagan quotes, and has tagged a retired teacher who actually hates him, thinking [the teacher] was cartoon character Alfred E. Neuman, simply because his username was @AlfredENeuman99, on Twitter. If he is unable to adapt to this modern world, then god knows what Kim Jong-Un and the others are pulling.
I don’t know how big of a deal global warming was when he was in high school (1959-1964), but I distinctly remember global warming being brought up in my science classes from middle school to high school (2013-2019). So for him to dismiss it as a Chinese hoax shows that he is not only unwilling to make sacrifices to slow down or even halt greenhouse gas effects that are inching closer to the point of no return, but this also shows that he is very ill-informed. For the life of me, I cannot wrap my head around the conclusion that the Chinese are responsible for any global warming myths, or why/how they would come up with them, or how they would benefit. And that is, by bringing that up in the modern day, to ruin American business, instead of way back, so as to make part of their mythology. They certainly don’t believe in it, because if they did, the Brown cloud wouldn’t be a problem, or they’d at least be scrambling to fix it.
In continuation with the previous point, I find it absolutely hilarious that Trump is throwing a fit over not being named Time’s Person Of The Year for 2019, but rather Greta Thunberg. He was so upset that he had his team photoshop his face onto Greta’s body, which by the way, was a complete failure. He looks smaller than he actually his, and I mean in regards to both weight and height. He looks shorter, he looks way thinner than he actually is in that photoshop, and I feel like they rushed this out just to one-up Greta Thunberg. Donald Trump, you were impeached for abuse of power and obstruction of congress. You blatantly asked foreign governments to investigate the Bidens and interfere with this year’s election. Greta Thunberg, meanwhile, is raising awareness to the issue of global warming, which is something that you, and every ignorant Republican elitist like you doesn’t believe in. Greta Thunberg has even cut school just to contribute to this good cause; HOPEFULLY doing her school work from abroad, might I add. You have kids in concentration camps, you have your goons across the country striking fear in women who see abortion as an acceptable option, you are an accused rapist, you’re a racist who uses the “Pocahontas” Native American slur, and you’re claiming you could shoot someone and not lose support. Who did you think was going to win Person Of The Year? Are you really surprised? Harassing her on Twitter isn’t helping your case much either. The fact that you have to bully people online shows that you are not a real man. You are not fit for the office of President Of The United States Of America. I would trust that 16 year old woman over a 73 year old BOY like you, with the office.
His other intellectual shortcomings include believing the planet Mars is part of our Moon, thinking the kidneys are part of the heart, writing fractions backwards, thinking the Kurds didn’t fight on the side of the allies during WW2 (they did, as “Iraqi Levies”), thinking Napoleon Bonaparte is still alive, wanting to build a wall over Colorado, because, why, south of the state, there’s a another state with “Mexico” in its name? Believing the Kansas City Chiefs Football team is a Kansas team, where as the team resides in Missouri, and believing there were airports (and thus, aircrafts) during the Revolution.
He also has an issue with spelling and grammar. I’m not just saying this as a grammar elitist, I’m saying this as a person who questions Donald Trump’s overall legitimacy; this is just icing on the cake. He needs to take a break from the internet when he gets to the point that he’s typing so erratically that he’s inventing words such as “covfefe” and “hamberders”. You really have to wonder if it’s actually him, and not just a robot malfunctioning, overworking itself posting negative tweets, accusing the New York Times of pushing fake news.
His other spelling fails include “Alcaida” (Al-Qaeda), “peopel” (people (although it was probably more of a typo than a deliberate misspelling)), and moot (moat). What’s more is that he is trying to convince *people that he is actually a good speller. The “thousands if inocent civilians” error; The “if” part, I can allow to slide, since I make that mistake often myself, and it’s so annoying. It’s because the “I” and the “O” are close together on American keyboards.
Where him and other Conservatives would go on about Obama doing nothing but vacationing in Hawaii, Trump spent more money in just his first 100 days, vacationing at Mar-A-Lago, than Obama did in all of his 8 years as President. And guess who’s paying for the Mar-A-Lago trips? Not the billionaire President, but taxpayers. Taxpayers, the poor, the rich, the Liberals, the Conservatives, all of us are paying for his parties, his women, his Soleimani death celebration, pretty much coordinating attacks from the golf resort. But Obama is bad just for visiting Hawaii.
He has also violated Native American land rights. Where construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline was halted under the Obama administration, Trump continued it, with no regard for possible oil spills on the sacred land of the Standing Rock reservation. Imperialist American police forces are also responsible for harm done to Native American people protesting the construction of the pipeline, by spraying them with water in freezing cold temperatures. The completion of this pipeline not only brings up controversy around the violation of Native American land rights, the damaging of Native American sacred land, and the civil and human rights of Native Americans, but also environmental issues.
Yes, Trump and his administration are built on racism. And believe me, there’s more to it than that ridiculous wall, or the travel ban. which are stupid in their own right. As a matter of fact, I could argue against those 2 without even bringing up race. But Trump’s racist tendencies do not spare Native Americans nor African Americans. The President is completely fine with using the “Pocahontas” racial slur, as he used it in reference to Elizabeth Warren, who has revealed that she is 1/64 Native. He has also told representatives Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ayanna Pressley, and Rashida Tlaib, all four of which who form what is known as “The Squad”, to go back to “their” terrible countries and improve them. What he did not know, however, is that 3 of which, except for Ilhan Omar (from Somalia) were born in The United States. Ilhan Omar has been a citizen for 20 years, which, funny enough, is longer than (Slovenian) Melania Trump’s citizenship status (14 years). Cortez’ grandparents were Puerto Rican. Pressley, if I had to guess, like most African Americans, had ancestors who ended up here as a result of the slave trade. Tlaib’s parents were immigrants from Palestine, the country which Trump pretty much endorses the colonization thereof by Israel. That whole thing got him slammed by other world leaders, and even other Republicans. “BUt tRuMpS nOT a rAcIsT!” And why’s that? The best reason the Trump administration could give was because MITCH MCCONNELL’S wife is Asian. Yes, because white men have never married Asian women because of a certain sexual stereotype, or to have them as a courtesan.
The fact that the man entitled to the office of President of this country has quoted Pastor Robert Jeffress that if the Democrats were to be successful in removing a Republican President from office, that it would cause a new Civil War, as if he could actually come together and orchestrate such a thing, proves that he expects to be able to get away with every disgusting act he makes as President, as well as that he is desperate to hold on to power, and will do anything to keep it. Retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel, Ralph Peters has called this a grave crime. How can he and his supporters expect to be seen as a legitimate force in this country if he has to threaten civil war? I swear, this happens every time the Democrats succeed in popularity and/or the elections; These people who were proud Americans when a Republican was in power suddenly want to reform the Confederacy, or something equally as bizarre. And people are forming ARMED MILITIAS to protect his presidency. People are preparing to force a Neo-Confederate state into existence, and start the Second American Civil War. What is this? Is this Sudan? Is this William The Bastard vs. Harold Godwinson? You cannot be more blind, and vehemently Anti-Liberal. I don’t care who you are, at this point. Please take off your “Make America Great Again” hats, and look at his Twitter for 2 seconds, and try telling me he is not a threat to American DEMOCRACY. He is a huge threat to our democracy, and it seems there is nothing short of imprisoning him and arresting his armed militias via the military that is going to stop this power grab. You know, despite having mostly Liberal views, I’ve never agreed with gun control, but after all the mass shootings last year, one of them taking upwards of 50 lives, and now Republicans and Neo-Nazis arming themselves to LITERALLY fight the Democrats, I kind of hope it happens. Half of me just wants to trigger them, and the other half thinks that these people really are crazy, and SHOULD have their weapons taken from them. This is why people want abortions. They don’t want to raise a kid in a messed up world where the Right is reaching for the Left’s throat like this. Would you, if Democrats were teaming up with Communists to form their own country, and kill all the Republicans?
I mentioned earlier that he is calling for foreign governments to interfere with the elections, and investigate Biden, the #1 threat to his re-election. The amount of desperation of a President to remain in office really never has been seen before in American history. His main plan is to bring up some dirt on Biden and his family, so maybe he will either lose support, or get him booted out of the primaries. Trump was investigated for this, and it’s no one’s fault but his own that he was impeached. He’s getting these foreign governments involved because he knows that Biden can and will win if he becomes the Democratic candidate, and even with the senate voting to acquit him, he’s helped his opponent deliver the finishing move to his Presidency.
Oh lord, of course I was going to have to mention the war. Did I mention the Kurds? And so why did Trump leave the Kurdish people to die by the hands of invading Turkish forces in Syria? Because (he thinks) they didn’t help us in the Second World War. You want to talk about the Second World War? During that time period, the Kurdish Iraqi levies probably didn’t have the power to station themselves across the world; They were probably mostly just fighting Vichy France (the Nazi puppet state, which occupied modern day Syria) and Rashid Ali’s government (The Kingdom Of Iraq, which supported the Nazis). What’s more, what use, what potential do you see in 1940’s Kurds that they would’ve been an effective ally against the Nazis and Japanese outside of being a small splinter militia of the British military? Are you kidding me? Moreover, let’s talk about the fact that during the Second World War, the Germans and Japanese were literally FIGHTING us, yet we still hold alliances with those 2 countries. So what is the big deal? If countries (and apparently non-sovereign militias, now) helping us win the Second World War is such a passionate issue to you, why haven’t you broke off with Japan and NATO, declared war on Germany and Japan, and use our massive nuclear arsenal to wipe them off the face of the Earth? Why bother with tariffs? Why worry about money when these 2 countries were, nearly 3/4 of a century ago (because I guess by his logic, no 2 countries can change so quickly without faking it to some extent), were trying to take away our freedom and reign down with terror WORSE than that of 18th century Britain? While we’re on the topic of countries that fought against us, let’s talk about the Ottoman Empire, Turkey’s predecessor state. They were on the Central Powers, we were on the Allies. Why not just invade that whole region and be done with it? Should we sanction Turkmenistan for not helping us, even though they were still part of the Soviet Union at the time? Or is it going to be the mere fact that they WERE part of the Soviet Union that we do? Or does he think that Muslims are going to beat each other up until there’s practically nothing left of the religion, and he’s going to kill them off that way, and is just using not fighting for the Allies in WW2 (even though they did) as an excuse to withdraw? I know you want Muslims to just kill each other off, but at least get your facts straight before giving a stupid reason to withdraw. WHY did we even leave if we knew Turkey would begin slaughtering Kurds, only to sanction them when they actually start? Jesus, is there anything beyond “stupid” that we can call Trump? So much for “Stable genius”. Maybe that could apply if used sarcastically. Wouldn’t be surprised if NATO breaks up because of this, seeing as how he thinks NATO (or really any alliance we’re in) is unfair for us to him. Maybe that’s his plan with this. Who really knows. When you have someone confused over your completely and utterly ridiculous actions as President, that’s when you know you screwed up. Oh yeah, remember that line about him believing Napoleon is still alive? He thinks Napoleon CAN be the one to save the Kurds. I’m sorry, but what in god’s name is that supposed to mean? I mean MAYBE he was just saying that to be funny, but given his previous remark about airports during the Revolution, I find that hard to believe. To his credit, he did include the modern day based Russia and China. But still, Napoleonic France? Napoleon wasn’t even still alive when Trump was born (1946). Napoleon died in 1821, over 100 YEARS before Trump was born. Christ in Heaven, next thing you know, he’s coming out and saying that by “Russia and China” he meant “The Russian Empire and The Qing Dynasty”. I’m assuming Canada is still a British colony? Does Brazil still belong to Portugal? What’s next? How much more idiotic and delusional can Trump get? I would bring up that time he called the Italian President “President Mozzarella”, and that The U.S. and Italy have been allies since Ancient Rome, but I heard it was the one example of fake news that Democrats were, for once, spreading.
I don’t know who will agree with me on this one, because it seems that Democrats and Republicans share common ground on this one thing. I know I shouldn’t let this get to me because I don’t smoke, but it still ticks me off that the Trump administration raised the minimum age to purchase cigarettes AND vaping products to 21 federally. I’m more upset because I feel like this takes some of the meaning away from being an adult for those that are 18, or are still 19 or 20. Trump signed it into law while awaiting his impeachment trial, and did it as part of a series of defense bills. What? So when an individual turns 18, they are immediately allowed to own their own house, get married, have a mortgage, join the military, get a tattoo, heck, they can even go into the porn industry! But as of December 20, 2019, they are barred from purchasing cigarettes, as well as the less dangerous alternative, vape pens. They lowered the age in the first place because it was deemed unacceptable that people between the ages of 18 and 20 were being sent to fight in Vietnam. What happened to that? Suddenly that no longer matters because the draft is no longer being used? So what would happen if war with Iran were to break out tomorrow? We’ll surely be drafted for that. Can we see the smoking age return to 18 though? Or will we see the voting age also return to 21? Can we please make up our minds how old we must be before we are legal adults? It’d make sense if we legalized marijuana federally, for a trade in. Give us at least that much. Weed is legal, but we have to wait until we’re 21 to buy either a tobacco product, a vape product, or a cannabis product. I think we should ban cigarettes in exchange for marijuana legalization, but right now, the law is stupid, and to me, comes off as another Elitist Conservative move by the Trump administration, and I hope that individuals between 18-20 that are hooked on cigarettes will vote Democrat in November.
Him and his supporters are expecting a Nobel Peace Prize as if it’s in the natural order of the universe. But what has Trump done that shows his Presidency in a positive light? Is the economy better? Maybe. But according to some sources, we’re on track for a recession this year thanks to the trade war with China. And plus he’s cutting food stamps for thousands of poor Americans, laying off steel mill workers in Detroit, killing off dairy farms in Wisconsin, and limited benefits for college students. So by feeding off the American people, maybe the economy is better. I also would have brought up serving Daesh, but they were already on the decline before Obama was out of office, as well as denuclearizing North Korea, but I guess the Kim regime is still tossing nuclear threats at us. And let’s not forget that he almost started WW3 THREE TIMES; Once when he ignored Russia’s warning in consequence to a strike on the Assad regime, again when he approved a strike on Iran but pulled out at the last second, and now with the killing of Qasem Soleimani. Taking on a country like Iran seriously isn’t going to “Make America Great Again”, it’s only going to break the figurative back of this country. We are already the most spending country military-wise by nearly $500 billion. If the war with Iran actually happens, our annual spending could’ve potentially jumped from $716 billion to over $1 trillion. I’m surprised our GDP is able to keep up with the spending rate as it is. Not only would a war with Iran be super costly, it could also set the stage for a Chinese ascension to the #1 largest economy, and breed more terrorism in the Middle East. And also, let’s not forget that he’s holding immigrant children in concentration camps, is willing to let the Earth become a scorched, polluted, lifeless wasteland, wants to rule over the most powerful country like a tyrannical king, is a widely accused rapist whose lapdogs, governors in Republican states have women living in fear that if they get pregnant through a broken condom or a rape, that they wouldn’t have had access to a safe and legal abortion had they been more dedicated to overturning Roe v. Wade, has violated the rights of the people who are TRULY entitled to the land that us European-Americans ruthlessly and illegally conquered, and live on today, has threatened a civil war if the political process does not go in his favour, is leaving Syrian Kurds to die in a potential genocide at the hands of invading Turkish forces, asked foreignh governments to interfere with a guaranteed free and fair election coming in November, is cyberbullying a 16 year old girl just because he doesn’t agree with her stance on climate change, and because she got Person Of The Year when he believes he was entitled to it just because he’s the President, or whatever outweighed reason that I’m not currently aware of, and even made history in a negative way, by being the third President to be impeached. Now tell me, how many Presidents who were impeached won a Nobel Peace Prize? What’s even more on the border issue, is that he was prepared to deal with the migrant caravan in 2018 as a MILITARY INVASION from Mexico and other Central American countries, and was preparing to use military force to repel this “invasion” in a scene reminiscent of the Boston Massacre.
Did I mention that far-rightists TRUST Trump and his supporters? I mean maybe that’s obvious when Neo-Nazi groups are teaming up with Republican elitists to prepare for a civil war against the Biden administration, but British Anti-Muslim, Tommy Robinson wants to live in our country as a political refugee as our former tyrant overlords are becoming increasingly Left leaning, although so much so that you can’t even JOKE about The Third Reich without legal rammifications. I mean, what the Nazis did was terrible, no one (except for nut cases like Tommy Robinson) would argue with that, but if those rules applied here, lord help me I’d be crucified. But that doesn’t matter. When we have Anti-Muslim Neo-Nazis trying to reach out to our President, saying that they agree with his policies, and expressing a desire to migrate as a political refugee, that’s a serious problem.
I will keep repeating this list through this year, through the primaries, through the election, and possibly until inauguration in January 2021. I will be posting this on a number of Anti-Trump subreddits, and possibly Pro-Trump subreddits to hopefully wake up his supporters that this is not the America that seceded from The British Empire. If the founding fathers were put into a time machine on course to this date, they would be absolutely disgusted, and would be calling for not yet brainwashed Americans to take advantage of the second amendment, and prepare to oust this President who has lost all credibility, or at least protect ourselves from the increasingly violent tendencies of the opposite party.
Although these times are so desperate that the Trump administration is allowing kids to be detained separate from their families and be thrown in concentration camps so overcrowded that they have to stand and sleep in potentially freezing cold temperatures, probably without proper protection, and have to worry about being sexually assaulted and/or systematically killed, and that we ought to take matters into our own hands, I want to share some advice to my partners further Left on the spectrum, as well as the entire Left in general; be sophisticated and nonchalant towards Trump and his supporters. Show your hatred towards them through the disdain in your eyes, not the anger in your face. In other words, do not instigate physical combat with his supporters out in public. In December, a video surfaced on Facebook of a group of Democratic teenagers beating up a Trump supporter on a bus ride, last month. This violent behaviour should be condemned as an accurate example of the Radical Left that Trump repeatedly blames the entire Democratic party for. It’s embarrassing and degrading to our cause. Followers of Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr. did not allow violence to drive them, and it succeeded in making British colonisers and segregationists look like heartless savages. The same might be said about the Trump supporters that are trolling all over Anti-Trump subs. Trump, on the other hand, encouraged [violent] behaviour against Hillary supporters during the 2016 election season, and had offered to pay his supporters’ legal fees. Let’s not stoop to his level. We are smarter, and generally better people than they are. We know this, but we must make sure of it. The only Democrats that have anything to prove are the candidates competing for nomination to the election, and what they have to prove is that they’re the better choice. As for the border issue; let’s trust that when Biden is elected and inaugurated, that he will do everything in his power to reverse the decision made by the Trump administration, and have that situation squared away as soon as possible. I really do worry about those kids, because if that was me when I was 6 years old, moving to a new country, probably legally even, and being detained anyway, and separated from my parents with maybe only my 2 year old baby brother with me, him and I would be scared to death. Knowing this, I refuse to stand with Trump, especially on immigration. He’s a heartless demon. My parents would probably resist something like this, and on top of that, we’d have to witness them being beaten, arrested, probably even killed.
Trump has all the makings of a tyrant. His strategy is to bend the rules, and blatantly break a few, to rule like one.
To Conservatives and other Rightists that have been convinced that Trump is a terrible President, but choose to not support a Democratic candidate, there is an alternative; Bill Weld. At this point, I don’t even care if it needs to be a different Republican, but Trump needs to be stopped. Support Weld in the Republican primaries, please!
I remember this one nonsensical tweet in particular from him, where he CALLED FOR HIS OWN IMPEACHMENT. Well, your wish had been granted, Mr. President. You could’ve at least accepted it, you sadist.
When Christianity Today, the top evangelical newsletter is calling for his removal ahead of impeachment, and questions the unconditional loyalty Trump supporters have for their choice of President, that’s when you know it’s a must. Christianity Today isn’t too Liberal, either. Seriously, they couldn’t help but sneak in their anti-abortion sentiments. Let’s make this the last stop of the Trump Train before we send it to the junkyard for scrap.
I have one last address, to fellow Democrats, before I end this article. A screencap had been floating around various Anti-Trump subs through this month, of Ivanka Trump quoting Thomas Jefferson’s denial that he had raped Sally Hemmings, a woman that he had kept as a slave, “which he did, in fact, do”. Let me just start by saying, I hate rapists and sexual predators of all kinds. Rape is actually the ONE crime I see fit for the death penalty. I am not, nor have I ever been, and I certainly never will be, an apologist. But the accusation that Jefferson raped Hemmings, to me, is outlandish and baseless, and it hurts to see this coming from my party, because Thomas Jefferson, a man who was very Liberal himself, is my favorite founding father. Despite owning slaves himself, he wanted to write a condemnation of slavery in the Declaration Of Independence, but out of fear of losing support from the Southern colonies, he deleted it from the final draft. A bachelor in history described it best him/herself; Their affair started in France, where slavery was ILLEGAL. Hemmings followed Jefferson back to the states. She consented and was devoted to Jefferson. This is deemed common knowledge by the person who wrote this, and I, myself certainly find it implausible that Jefferson would be capable of such an atrocious crime with the morals and principles that he had. Yet the opposition I saw towards Jefferson was sickening, saying he played the victim card, calling him a “white male” as if it’s a bad thing? “White male”? I’m sorry, but how can we be dedicated to the erasure of racism AND sexism if being a white male is supposed to be a bad thing? I’m a white male, am I demon just because of this? I’ll bet there are tons of white male Democrats who will do everything in their power to sway the support and the odds of winning in the favor of the Democratic candidate. Making being a white male a bad thing, not only that, but attacking a person who, if they were alive today, would be vehemently Anti-Trump and vote Democrat himself, is how you LOSE Moderate support. We don’t want that as we get closer to the election. I’m a Liberal, but not like this.
Sometimes you just have to know when to criticize your party. It’s the reason I call forth the support of enlightened Republicans.
May this list expand as I stay with you, and help expose Trump’s tyrannical and unpolitician-like behaviour. May you have a friend in the Progressive Moderate u/frantzianleader.

8 months remain until election day. Here is why Trump MUST lose.

Ladies and gentlemen, it is March 4, and 231 years ago today, our constitution officially went into effect. In about 8 months, Americans will be voting in the election. It still seems as though Former Vice President Joseph Biden is the Democrats’ best bet at defeating Trump. Today, I have a list of things that Trump has said and done to discredit him as President of these United States, and I want to be able to convince everyone, if not just anyone from the Far Left to the Moderate Right, and all in between, to support a Biden victory in the election this November.
And besides, I find it super ironic that I see Trump supporters roaming around the store I work at while church is IN SESSION. You people are NOT real Christians, you are closet Autocrats that use a widespread institution as a means of justifying your insane policies, and even that you fabricate an delude to some extent.
I find it odd that Trump would accuse Democrats of fear mongering over the Coronavirus when this is the exact kind of crap that everyone would expect him to piggyback off of to secure a re-election. Like seriously, watch this pandemic get worse for us, and he comes out saying he’ll ban travel from China, and other East Asian countries. In MY opinion, as someone who will be voting Democrat in November, the Coronavirus is not a big deal. Sure, it’s spreading like crazy, but there are only a hundred-something people infected nationwide, vs. 332 million of us? A vaccine will be out soon, and this strain will be out like Ebola.
A screencap had been floating around various Anti-Trump subs through last month, of Ivanka Trump quoting Thomas Jefferson’s denial that he had raped Sally Hemmings, a woman that he had kept as a slave, “which he did, in fact, do”.
